1. About this site

juliafrank.net is a personal site run by Julia Frank, a computational physics PhD student in Canada. It contains writing, notes, code snippets, and reflections from research and adjacent work. By using the site you agree to the terms below. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

2. Content is provided as-is

Posts, guides, and code on this site are shared for general information and educational purposes. I try to be accurate, but I make no warranty that content is correct, complete, or current. Linux commands, GPU kernels, and research methods change quickly. Test things in your own environment before relying on them.

Nothing here is professional, financial, medical, or legal advice. If a topic on this site touches a decision that matters, talk to someone qualified in your jurisdiction.

3. Use of content

Unless otherwise marked, the text and images on this site are mine. You're welcome to quote short excerpts with attribution and a link back. For longer reuse, translations, or republication, please email me first at julia@juliafrank.net.

Code samples included in posts are intended to be useful. You may copy and adapt them in your own projects without asking. Attribution is appreciated but not required.

4. External links

The site links to other websites, papers, tools, and books. I include those links because I've found them useful, but I don't control or endorse the content of any external site. Their terms and privacy policies are their own.

5. Affiliate links

Some external links, mainly on the Resources page, are affiliate links. If you buy through them I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. They are marked on the page where they appear. More detail is in the Privacy Policy.

6. Newsletter and email

Subscribing to the newsletter means you'll receive emails from me via Kit. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. Sending me email at julia@juliafrank.net is the direct way to reach me; I read everything but can't promise a reply to every message.

7. No warranty, no liability

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent allowed by law, I am not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, including reliance on content or links.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Mandatory local consumer protections in your own country still apply where they would override this clause.

9. Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top will update. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
